Where to get the BEST duck confit, or confit de canard, in Paris?
Joséphine “Chez Dumonet.”
Chez Dumonet’s 1880 vintage dining room serves old-fashioned bistro cooking done right. Think millefeuille of boned pigeon, boeuf bourguignon, gigot d’agneau, and a perfectly crisp confit de canard. Portions are large so many dishes are available in half sizes. But always make sure to save room for the over-the-top Grand Marnier Soufflé that needs to be ordered at the beginning of the meal.
Quality food and service certainly comes at a price: average à la carte is around €50. Reservations are highly recommended.
