Situated right on Grafton Street, Bewley’s Grafton Street Café is a Dublin landmark and Ireland’s longest established and largest café. The venue has a lot of character and history but the food is mediocre at best – it may be best to just stop by for a coffee and pastry to soak in the history. Bewley’s also serves an unmemorable full Irish breakfast, complete with bacon, sausage, poached egg, black pudding, toast, sauteed mushrooms, and fried tomatos.
The company website notes that one million customers visit the Café every year (in a country with a population of only 4.5 million). It might be something worthy of stopping by on the tourist circuit in Dublin.
